Fields: Beacons and Beacon Ranges

Beacons and Beacon Ranges lets you add new beacon definitions and beacon ranges, view the existing beacons and ranges, and delete unneeded beacons and ranges. Beacons are transmitters that work with the BLUEcloud Mobile for Kids app to trigger specific actions in the app.

Add new Beacon

Opens the Create Beacon page where you can define the beacon and set the app action.

Beacon list

Displays the beacons that have been defined for the current channel, along with the properties that define them. For more information, see Fields: Create Beacon.

  • Name—The descriptive name of the beacon
  • Major—The first of two values that uniquely identify the beacon. The major value can identify a group of beacons in the library.
  • Minor—The second of two values that uniquely identify the beacon. The minor value identifies the specific beacon in a group of beacons in the library.
  • Action—The function that the beacon triggers in the app when the user's device comes within the beacon's range
  • Delete—Removes the beacon from the list and deletes the beacon definition from the system.

This feature is not yet supported. Once it is, it will list the beacon ranges that have been defined for the current channel.
